Who is Maddie Bowe?
Maddie Bowe is a singer/songwriter based in London/Yorkshire.
Maddie’s single “With Everything I Have Left” won the Mayor of London Song Prize 2018, selected by judges Newton Faulkner, Fuzz Chaudhrey (BBC Radio 1), Lauren Churchman (BBC6 Music), Swarzy Macaly (KISS FM), and James Brister (ICMP). The winning track gave Maddie her first radio play on BBC Radio York with BBC Introducing North Yorkshire.
Since then, Maddie has gained further acclamation with the first two singles from her debut EP. Both "A Song I Could Write" and "Right Now" have been given a spin on BBC Radio York with Jericho Keys and BBC Radio Leeds with Emily Pilbeam. Maddie was also selected for the Unsigned Guide's Spotlight in October 2019 for "A Song I Could Write".
From an early age Maddie was immersed into the world of theatre, and her passion for the arts lead her to be influenced by an eclectic mix of sources. Maddie finds her roots in folk and enjoys the storytelling process involved in writing her own material.
2019 has seen Maddie performing live at more prominent venues and events. After time spent in Natural Habitat Studios with producer Joey Walker (The Pylons),
2020 will see the songwriter release her debut EP "Thoughts & Feelings" March 20th following the release of her music video for "Right Now". Maddie will take to the stage at the O2 Academy2 later in the year to perform her EP live.
'A Song I Could Write' is a lovely piece of folk-pop that unfolds like a warm autumn afternoon. It is fitting that the track's title and opening lines refer to the songwriting process, as Maddie radiates a natural ease with when it comes to music making. Her melodies are expressive and infectious, her voice is distinctive and her lyrics honest, giving her an edge in a crowded singer songwriter marketplace.

In response to 'A Song I Could Write'.
..the one thing that really stood out for me in that track was the kind of pain that she had in her voice. It really added a lot of emotion.. which I really enjoyed.
Emily Pilbeam (BBC Introducing North Yorkshire, BBC Radio York). In response to 'With Everything I Have Left'.
Deceptively gentle, and then suddenly this powerful voice arrives from nowhere and takes us on a great journey..
Tony Moore (Live @ The Bedford, Soho Radio)
..this is certainly adventurous and a tad rebellious; but that’s what I like about it..
